Paul Who?
Paul is the founder and President of Plan2Profit. He started his company in 1990 as a small business consulting firm with one goal in mind - to help put other small business owners on the pathway to success. 20 years later, not much has changed.
What have you done?
Over the years my resume has grown to include the following words; entrepreneur, author, teacher, coach, advisor and guest speaker. In a nutshell, I am just an experienced businessman who has picked up what he knows by doing a wide variety of things during my business career. I have worked for large corporations and mom and pop businesses; but I gained the most satisfaction from starting my own businesses and I am still a small business owner today.
Why do you coach?
This is a question that I get a lot. Why do I bother being a small business coach? The answer is simple. I am still a business owner today. In fact, I am involved in a number of small businesses at both the ownership and management level. I love helping other entrepreneurs. With the knowledge and experience I've gained over the years, I know that I have something to offer fellow business owners. Seeing enthusiasm and excitement in others, especially when I help them they succeed, is immensely rewarding.
When did you start coaching?
This question has two answers. The black and white answer is 1990. This is when Plan2Profit was founded. The grey answer is a little more complex. My whole life I have felt like a natural leader. From my days in school to my first real job, I have always wanted to take charge and at the same time, help others. This instinct has been with me for several decades and has shown no signs of waning.
